The first item has a standard delivery charge and then subsequent items are delivered at a cheaper price. The 5th item plus is delivered free of charge. For example:

  • 6 items to be delivered to the CBD will cost:
  • $25 for the 1st item
  • $10 per item for items 2-4
  • Free for item 5
  • Free for item 6.

Alternatively customers can collect/return the equipment from our premises at Dee Why. The Kit4Kids website will offer these options when you complete your order.

2. Will you assemble or install equipment (e.g. Car seats, Capsules or Cots etc.) free of charge?

Kit4Kids is currently unable to offer installation of child restraints. We do however provide guidance so you can fit the seat yourself and we also provide a full set of installation instructions. We can also refer you to an approved RTA fitting station if necessary. At your request we can assemble and dismantle a full size cot for no extra charge.

3. What if I need extension straps or a spare bolt?

We can provide extension straps, anchor bolts and gated buckles. Anchor bolts are charged at $10. Gated buckles and extention straps must be returned with the car restraint at the end of the hire period.

4. What is the law regarding child restraints?

Since March 2010, all children under seven years of age must be secured in a child restraint or booster seat when traveling in a vehicle. The new child restraint laws in NSW are based on national model legislation. Babies up to six months of age must be restrained in a rearward facing restraint.

Children from six months to under four years of age must be restrained in a rearward facing or forward facing restraint. Children under four years of age must not be in the front row of a vehicle with two or more rows.

From four years to under seven years of age a forward facing restraint or booster seat must be used. Children from four to under seven years of age can only sit in the front row of a vehicle with two or more rows when all other seats are occupied by children of a lesser age in an approved child restraint.

The ages specified above are a guide for the safety of your child. If your child is too small for a restraint specified for their age, they should be kept in their current restraint for as long as necessary.

Approved restraints carry the Australian Standards AS/NZ1754 sticker. All restraints used by Kit4Kids carry the Australian Standard.
